It seems like General Motors is really trying to get this perception thing right. Recently out of bankruptcy, GM has a site called 'Chevrolet Voltage' to chronicle taking the Chevy Volt from concept to prototype to production. What is really nice about the site is that it allows to follow the progress of the Volt via facebook and twitter. The site also features the latest video and pictures of the Volt as well (ok, some of the pictures are dated). 

The first video is about the Volt's IVER build, which is how GM makes sure their overall plan for making the vehicle is correct and streamline before it hits the plant for mass production.
