US National Soccer team forward, Charlie Davies, has been seriously injured in a car accident in northern Virgina early Tuesday morning. Charlie Davies suffered a broken right leg and left elbow and other internal injuries in the accident that also killed a 22 year old female who also riding in his car.

Since the injuries are so serious Davies will not only miss the World Cup but all of next season, as he will have to undergo six to twelve months rehabilitation. None of his injuries are listed as life threatening and doctors do believe that Davies will make a full recovery.

No word yet on what caused the accident, but will update you as soon as we know.
