Who isn't fascinated by huge cardboard boxes? That's the mindset of the marketing gurus at MINI at least for their new promotional scheme in the Netherlands.

 

Occasionally you may see a box for a big screen TV or some other sizeable holiday purchase at the side of the road on trash day. So why not a car?

 

Giant cardboard boxes stamped with the MINI Cooper logo, specs and a detailed outline of the car were placed at the curb in Amsterdam. Tattered remains of red foil wrapping and a gold bow peak out from the top of the open box to complete the image.

 

MINI has a knack for creating advertisements that hook anyone who glances, and this time is no different. Check out the video below to see how people reacted on the street.
