Honda and the NHTSA are recalling 7,600 2006-2007 model year Ridgeline trucks because a wiring harness for the blower motor of the Heating Ventilation and Air-conditioning system could be accidentally kicked by the front passengers' feet.
If this happens, the connector terminal could overheat, and cause the wire insulation or connector to melt. If that happens, a short circuit will be created and a fire could occur.
Dealers will inspect the harness and replace it if needed, and all vehicles will get a protective cover for the connector. Ridgeline owners can contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009 for more information.
