Kia gave away its first 2011 Sorento to the 88-year-old Chick-fil-A Founder and Chairman, S. Truett Cathy, during a ceremony at the Atlanta-based restaurant chain's corporate headquarters on January 22.

We're not sure if this is Kia's way of trying to be more American, but Kia did say that the 2011 Sorento was named the Official Vehicle of the 2009 Chick-fil-A Bowl.

The redesigned Sorento is being manufactured in West Point, GA, the first Kia plant in North America. Another vehicle will be joining Sorento production soon, and we believe it'll either be the new Optima or Sportage.
