Not to be forgotten amidst the great Toyota recalls, Honda has recalled 646,000 2007-2008 Fits around the world for faulty window switches. It seems the switch lets water inside to the electric switch mechanism which could potentially start a fire. The fire can apparently break out at any time. The car can be parked in your garage or driving down the highway, both unfortunate situations.

The estimated 140,000 Cars affected here in the United States will likely have their switch assemblies replaced. Although the fix is simple enough, this is more bad news for the Japanese automotive industry. Also again unexpected, coming from a company with such exceptional quality and reliability reviews.
