Hyundai pushed out a press release this evening with pricing and trimlevel information on the 2011 Sonata.

The base 2.4-liter direct-injected 198-horsepower GLS model will start at $19,195, come with a six-speed manual, and achieve an EPA-estimated 24 mpg city/35 mpg highway. For an additional $1,000, buyers can get a six-speed automatic gearbox that will achieve 22 mpg city/35 mpg highway.

The GLS with popular equipment package comes in at $20,945 and includes 16'' alloys, a power driver's seat, lumbar support, leatherette door inserts, and automatic exterior lighting. Available on all trim levels, which is unique in the mid-size, non-premium class, is a navigation system.

Paired with the popular equipment package, the navigation package costs an additional $950 and comes with a touch-screen display, premium speakers, and an subwoofer/external amplifier.

Standard on all Sonata's is Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity, XM radio, and every possible expected safety feature in its class. For the first time ever, HD radio is also available, as are heated front and back seats.

The sportier SE model offers two additional horsepower, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, 18'' alloys with performance tires, sport seats and a sport tuned suspension, keyless entry with push-button start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, fog lights, and dual exhaust outlets.

It starts at $22,595, and for another $2,600 can come with a sunroof, navigation, and premium audio.

The Limited model starts at $25,595 and includes leather seating with heated front and rear seats, automatic climate control, side-mirror turn signal indicators, a power moonroof, unique interior accents, and more. Navigation, a back-up camera, and an Infinity sound system will eat another $2,100 from your bank account.

theCD's take: Superbly priced and better than any Camraccord out there based on price alone. The interior felt top-notch at the North American International Auto Show, and we're excited to get some time in the new Sonata soon!
