Scion has just announced its newest version of its Release Series. The latest incarnation being 6.0 for the rapidly aging Scion tC. This newest Release Series car features a very good looking "Speedway Blue" paint job complemented by a matte black graphic running down the sides. According to Toyota, the Speedway Blue motif will continue on the interior of the car thanks to color inserts on the seat and steering wheel.
The car will also feature an Alpine audio system with navigation. The system is run through a 4.3 inch touch screen and has iPod or USB connectivity for your favorite personal media player. "What is this car's party piece" you may ask, well let me tell you: it's a "tC RS 6.0 route-guidance icon." I'm sorry for the sarcasm but it's a little difficult to be so excited for a new paint job.
Only 1,100 units of the Release Series 6.0 tC will be built. One with a manual transmission will start at $18,620 while an automatic will cost $19,420
TheCD's take: While the paint job certainly looks good, it's hard to get excited about it. Come on Scion, where is my new tC?
