The Racer
Though we didn't have the SE-R or Spec V trim levels of the Sentra, this car definitely handles and rides better than several of its competitors. We liked the good amount of road feel through the steering system, its stability at highway speeds, and the option to upgrade to more performance-oriented trim levels and just barely touch $20k.
The Penny Pincher
The base Sentra starts around $17k and offers plenty of standard equipment, and unlike many of its competitors, options that are standard on upper trim levels. The Sentra is efficient, safe and solid, just what a penny pincher wants.
The Environmentalist
Over one week of testing, the Sentra averaged 30.3 mpg. That was with a mix of 30% city and 70% highway driving. The Environmental Protection Agency rates the Sentra's emissions as Tier 2, Bin 5, or LEV2-PZEV in California.
